Description
Specific attention was given to points of innovation within the premise of standard industrial landscapes, including “smart planning” as an inherent characteristic of modern planning.
Through a study of the site, existing campus, adjacencies, access routes and proposed client vision, a comprehensive master plan has been prepared along with co-ordinated infrastructure design. The intent of this master plan is to form the premise for the 500 acre development which would be further detailed for execution by client appointed consultants. Land use distribution, plot sizes and mix, open space and landscape strategy, streetscape design were the main points considered in the Master plan.
Three master plan options were explored basis design principles developed by site study and client brief. Pedestrian vs vehicular movement, dedicated cyclist movement, efficient infrastructure planning, and an overall more humane/user specific experience form the salient features of the master plan. Out of the 3 options presented, the option preferred by client was further detailed out. Case studies were carried out to draw parallels.
