Description
Centre for Oncopathology is a Visionary, established by Tata Trusts to set up a comprehensive healthcare network focused on cancer care across the country.
The Center includes 2 nos of laboratory, molecular & histopathology.
Reception Lobby area opens up to the Consultant rooms & Report writing, so that pathologists can review the reports once the tissues are diagnosed from the Laboratory.
Also, laboratory is expanded to support the training facility which includes an Auditorium- 45 seats, Trainee practice area & Library. This offer trainee with interactive learning opportunities such as live Training, library, hand-on-workshop to constantly improve their pathological skills in a simulated learning-focussed environment, adequately preparing them for their professional roles.
The design concept was a modern minimal concept that focus on the shades of white & wood with accent colour on end wall, this creates calm & quiet environment which helps the pathologists to focus for long working hours.
Laboratories were designed to be sterile & more productive, in terms of materiality 1) Black granite top platforms-which makes the slides, other tissue work more visible 2) Antiskid flooring which improves safety & less accidents.
